Josué "Josh" Román has cultivated an eclectic background that includes law enforcement, a current serving Lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve and if that's not enough, he has over 15 years in various roles in academia and currently teaches accounting at Columbia College, Southern NH University and Thomas Nelson Community College. He puts his natural curiosity to use in finding distinctive and satisfying solutions for the client. Further, he prides himself on not being a "suit and tie" accountant.
He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film from Keene State College, a Master of Science in Accounting from Southern NH University and is a graduate of the Southern NH University Fraud & Forensic program. While a CPA license is reciprocal throughout all 50 states; Josué is specifically licensed in the state of New Hampshire and commonwealth of Virginia.
He’s a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Also, he is a Certified Government Financial Manager, Certified Defense Financial Manager and lastly a Certified Fraud Examiner and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He also holds a certification as a Finance Section Chief Type III and recently was mobilized to assist with the Great Smoky Mountain wildfires in Tennessee. He enjoys half-marathons and has a goal to complete one in all 50 states, he has completed 18 thus far, and frequently will go out of his way to visit a National Park (in fact all pictures on this site were taken by him).
He lives in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia with his Wife, Kate, and their two dogs; Chewy and McGuffin.
